Step 1: Create a page and title it: Testyourname example: Testjamesdannibale
To do this: Click on the plus sign next to Pages and Files at the top of the page on the management toolbar. This should bring up a window where you can put in your page name.
Add the Tag: "Test" so all of our test pages are grouped together on the navigation bar on the right.

Step 2: Familiarize yourself with using the B I U and T buttons. B is for bold I is for italics U is for underline and the T will give you other ways to format your text.
You will have 2 minutes to do this. If you need help, raise your hand or ask the person next to you quietly.
Step 3: Familiarize yourself with the Font Sizes, which come from the dropdown box that says Normal. Your options are labeled Heading followed by a number.
Also familiarize yourself with the options to make numbered lists, bullet lists, and the horizontal rule button. The Horizontal Rule lines are a nice way to separate sections of your wiki. It is easier to insert a horizontal rule if you have already put text in the next section. Just put your cursor at the end of the first section, hit enter, and then insert your horizontal rule.
Step 4: Insert a Link to another website. To do this, click on the Link button. It will bring up this box.
Make sure you click "Web Address" on the left. The other two will allow you to insert a link to a different wiki page, which is also useful. The Email Address option will allow you to let someone click on your email address and send you an email right away. Here is an xample of what a link would look like Click here to see Google

Step 5: Insert a file:
If you click on the File button, it will open this box. It will ask you to upload a file from your computer OR you can click on External Image and provide the url for an image from Google Image or something else like it. *When inserting files, sometimes it will sometimes put the file in a different place than where you wanted it. If this happens, you can click and drag the file to where you want it within your text. If you have trouble with this, ask me for help.

All of those things on the left are examples of what you could embed into your wiki. Wikispaces will only work with certain formats. Therefore, if you want to put in a video, it will have to be from one of the services listed. The same goes for the other things that you can embed. Under "Social" you will find that you can allow people to "Like" your page on Facebook. For videos and other things that you want to embed that are NOT on youtube or other options, you can click on "Other HTML" and paste in the HTML Code. This image will show you how to get HTML Codes that you will want to copy and then paste into the widget window.
